One of those Nights!

(I'm Posting this pic because it makes me feel better just looking at that little face :) This is Weston around 7 months old. )

It's 3:45 AM and I'm sitting on the couch eating frozen yogurt telling myself this is the necessary treatment for my throat infection, the baby has been up every hour for some odd reason and my mind is racing about all the fun things I would like to do to the new place we may potentially move to in May- Lord Willing! It's been one of those months as well where things are a little crazy, in a good way, and we are all out of breathe. Andrew brought home a cold from Shepherd's conference week which traveled through each member of the family now...love how that happens!

Anyway thought I would share some cute moments around here lately-
Gabe has started to laugh, and big brother tickled his feet the other day, so precious. He (Gabe) has also become really aware of everything around him and is such a social guy. He's a fun baby to interact with because you will always get a response when you do something silly :)
Weston is becoming a little boy more and more everyday saying "peas" Please for everything he wants and an enthusiastic "YA" yes in response to questions. And just yesterday he finally called my mom Omie..."O MEE". He is also in no small way obsessed with appliances! Since he isn't allowed to plug things into the wall, it's fun to see what his little creative mind works up to plug things into- because it must be plugged in.

An Amazing Woman

My mother-in-law is an amazing woman- a few weekends ago we were blessed to see her be baptized and hear how Christ saved her as she shared her testimony to her church in Hickman CA. It was awesome to see her proclaim publicly what we know to be true privately as she lives out her life day in and day out aiming to honor Him in all she does. Here are just a few of the character traits we LOVE about her and it is all the work of Christ in her!
She is the most humble person you will meet. She asks a million questions about what's going on with you and makes you feel as if you are the most important person- true humility.
She is an avid learner of God's truth and God's creation. She downloads sermons, reads books, and sings songs that will further her knowledge of God. She also loves beauty and art and has an amazing eye for creating a wonderful atmosphere.
She is selfless. She gives of herself constantly to her kids, grand kids, husband, aunts, uncles- you name it!
She is joyful- despite the challenges she has (as we all have in one way or another) she truly trusts in God's sovereign care of her and that causes joy in the midst of a trial.
And the character trait that is an example to me and blesses me the most is her gentleness. She never imposes her ideas or thoughts unless asked what her opinion is. When criticized she has learned to respond in love and in each situation that she is in she acts as peacemaker and not the provoker.
Thank you for your example to us of Christ-likeness and we LOVE you!

Enjoying some tea and biscotti with Weston! The only way he would sit on her lap :)

The Master's Seminary celebrates 25 years

We were so excited to attend this year's Seminary banquet celebrating 25 years at the Reagan Library! It was a wonderful time to see friends all dressed up, enjoy yummy food, amazing music and hear from our pastor, also the seminary president. We also got to tour Air Force One which was a first for me. Thanks to the girls who hung out with our little guys so that we could enjoy this special event!

It was so encouraging to hear the story of how the seminary began and the purpose behind it. The Lord has truly blessed this institution because it truly aims at honoring the Lord and the truth of Scripture above all else. We are so honored to be able to be a part of this seminary and to be blessed by the precious people that run it.
Andrew and our dear friend and mentor Dave Muxlow - He and his wife Suzie did our premarital counseling and are basically the coolest couple there is :)

Birth-4months

We can't believe that Gabe is almost 4 months already! I thought it would be fun to put pics of the boys back to back at the same ages to see their similarities and differences...they definitely are brothers! It is weird to see how much faster Gabe filled out than Weston considering they were only a few ounces different than each other at birth. Little Gabe loves to eat and I'm sure he will be catching up to his older brother in no time! He is already in the clothes that Weston was wearing at 6 months. (The first pic at each age is Weston and the second Gabe.)
