3 months!

Tomorrow Weston will be 3 months old tomorrow and he is getting cuter
and chubbier by the day! We love squeezing his little pudgy parts and
kissing his smiley cheeks! He is very responsive now and I even got a
giggle out of him today by tickling his belly. We are very excited for
my family to come visit next week and for my sister to finally be able
to hold him! She had to go back to Texas before Weston was out of the
hospital so Auntie time is definitely over due. Weston is sleeping
like a champ at night and I survived putting him in the nursery for
the first time at church. There is something so wrong about leaving
your precious bundle with complete strangers, but it must be done! :)
what a wonderful 3 months it has been

Great place to go with baby in tow

The Americana in Glendale- lots of parking, lots of comfy benches and
couches for nursing, the Coffee Bean for mom and great scenery with
jazzy music to boot! Now if we could just get them to control the
outdoor temp to about 70 it would be perfect!

Life is sweet

We are driving home from a wonderful weekend with our family. Quoting
my mom in law, " nothing is better than being together with family and
of course, good food!" This weekend was full of baby cuddling,
laughing ( mostly at the antics of our darling niece) and spending
time together. We have been so blessed by the Lord and are so grateful
for His gifts to us. The biggest blessing right now is the health of
our newest little niece and her recovering mommy. What a joy to live
close enough to be a part of these wonderful days. Every good gift is
truly from above and we thank God for daily sustaining us and allowing
us to enjoy life, even in a sin filled world!
The pic is figs three ways as an appetizer one of the nights! My mom
in law LOVES figs and was given a bunch that we needed to eat, so we
brainstormed some delicious ways to enjoy them: figs with Parmesan
honey and fresh Rosemary, figs with bluecheese and peach preserves and
figs on a Ginger thin with goat cheese. Yum yum

Welcome to the world baby Ava!

Andrew's sister brought little Ava Grace into the world 2 days ago! My
mother in law sent me this pic of her adorable face- look at all her
lovely dark hair! We are SO excited to meet our new little niece this
weekend. Joy is going to be such a wonderful big sister as she has
literally been practicing with her baby dolls. She has mastered the
infant car seat! Don't worry mom, Joy can buckle Ava in good and tight
if your hands are full! We love you and Weston can't wait to meet his
new cousin!

Sniffles, waffles and Grace Church Live Stream

Today Andrew Weston and I got some much needed r&r. By 4 pm we were
all still in our pjs! Still battling our colds, though we are now on
the winning team, we decided to stay home all day. I made buttermilk
waffles for breakfast at noon and we listened to both morning and
evening services via live stream on the computer! It was nice to be
home together even under the circumstances, but we defintely missed
the personal fellowship with our Grace family. I am so thankful for
technology and that we were able to sing with the Martins and enjoy
the preaching of our pastor in our pjs next to the tissues :) ( and no
one could see how lovely we looked! Ha ha)

Poor Baby

Instead of Mr. Smiley this is the sad little face I have gotten all
week! We all came down with colds after our awesome retreat in Newport
Beach and then my poor baby received his first round of shots on
Tuesday! He sounds hoarse from all the crying and I think I have
ruined too many of his clothes trying to administer the bright pink
baby tylenol ! Why they make it that color is beyond me! But God is so
faithful and has given me the strength to make it through and we all
are on the mend.
But Weston has definitely grown! He is still small for his age but the
doctor was very happy with his growth. Our big boy is now 9lbs 12oz
and 22 inches :)

Burgers

Andrew is just finishing his 3rd hamburger for the day... You would
think a retreat focusing on the heart would make him want to take
better care of his, but maybe not! We come home tomorrow, guess what
we're not having!

2 months old!

We can't believe that 2 months have gone by already. It seems that it has always been the 3 of us here and we don't know what we did before Weston was born. Our life is full and we love everyday that God has blessed us with our little guy! He changes so much each day and watching him develop has been so much fun. He loves to look around at things now and has found his hand to suck on. He loves windows and doors, his bouncy chair and the fan. He doesn't like his swing, to have his diaper changed and to be left out of the fun! Next week he will get his first round of shots and I am feeling a little apprehensive. But we get to finally see how much he weighs now and how much he has grown. Clothes are fitting him better and we love kissing his little filled out cheeks! Here are some fun recent pics of our little man
