Cousins sleepover

A few weeks ago we celebrated Andrew's great aunt Sharon's 80th birthday! I sadly didn't take any pics of the beautiful party that was thrown for her by her family, but did capture the cuties that came down for the event :) Weston's cousins Joy and Ava drove down from Manteca and had a slumber party here! The time is always too short, but they enjoyed watching Saturday morning cartoons together on the computer on the airbed in the office!

Trip to Austin, TX

Last week we went on a big adventure...Andrew went to a conference with some pastors in Louisville, Kentucky and Weston and I headed off to Texas to visit my sister for a week. It was Weston's first plane ride and he did great! He slept almost the entire time both ways. We had a short layover in Phoenix where we met up with my mom and she flew with us the rest of the way. My dad met us the next day in Texas- we had such a great time!

Showing off our bellies! Leah is due June 15 and I am due sometime end of November
Jo's is the best coffee we have had- yummy!

Tired of shopping :)
Leah and her boyfriend Walker- They are going to have one cute baby!

Anniversary getaway- on a budget style :)

This year we decided to keep things simple yet still do something special to celebrate the wonderful 3 years we have had together. Nanni watched Weston overnight while Andrew and I headed to Camarillo Monday afternoon to stay at the condo my parents still own there. We had a great time! We stopped at Sharky's in the valley for lunch on the way, our first stop being the Camarillo outlet mall! We each got a few needed items instead of getting gifts for eachother this year and had a blast shopping together :) Yes ladies, don't be jealous, but my hubby loves to shop as much as me! So fun.
Then we went to the condo for a much needed nap and nausea control before heading north to Ventura to see the beautiful ocean, walk downtown and then dinner at Macaroni Grill with a generous gift card from Andrew's dad! We discovered that The Buffalo Exchange opened in Ventura so we stopped in and both found some great shoes for a steal! Andrew got some Lacoste shoes for $15 ( regular price $80) and I found some Kenneth Cole flats for $18! (regular price $150)
We stayed up super late watching Netflix like our prebaby days and enjoyed coffee and a nice morning walk in our old neighborhood.
We really enjoyed our time together and Weston did great with his Nanni! Boy were we ready to kiss those cheeks.

Top 5 ways you know you're pregnant

5. You suddenly have a love/hate relationship with food : Thinking about last night's dinner makes you want to run to the bathroom, but a turkey sandwich at 9am...sure!

4. Tired, tired, and I'll say it again, tired

3. You're "late"

2. Positive home prego test! ( or five positive home prego tests just to be sure you weren't imagining things)

AND

1. You finally go to the doctor ( after he has been out of town on vacation during this most crucial time in your life- doesn't he know he can't do that?) and it is confirmed by that tiny little bean on the screen, with an already strong heartbeat that is music to your anxious ears!

Yes, it's true :) Weston is going to be a big brother even though he is so little! We are kinda shocked and very very excited! Please pray for us as we do this baby thing again. I am a little nervous that the same problems may arise like last time, but the Lord is faithful and I know He will give us what we can handle. Due to the position of the baby, hanging out in a far back corner of the placenta, the doc wasn't able to measure how far along exactly we are. So we have to wait until next time to get a due date. But it's safe to say our new peanut is between 6-7 weeks. Yay!

Happy 3 Years!

3 years ago today at 4:30 in the afternoon I married my dream guy...I had no idea what a blessing he would be and that he is so much more than I could have ever imagined! Every girl has her silly "list" defining the man she hopes to marry some day, and it is always fun to see how God intervenes and gives you someone better for you than you could have hoped. This is so true in our case :) God knew who I needed and when I needed him, and God brought Andrew into my life at such a strategic time that I knew it was only from God and not of myself!
It is fun to think of all that has happened in 3 years: We have lived in 3 different cities, Andrew changed jobs twice and me three times, we traveled to 5 different countries and 3 different states, I have been pregnant twice one ending in a miscarriage and one ending with a beautiful baby boy, we got another niece making it two and now have a nephew on the way in June and we have seen God's faithfulness to us as He has provided for our every need as Andrew continues in seminary and now with me at home with Weston. Thank you God for our sweet marriage and for all the wonderful trials and blessings You have given us. I love you Hubby with all my heart! Happy Anniversary!

He Is Risen!

What a wonderful day Sunday we had celebrating the Risen Savior! We also had the treat of celebrating with Andrew's mom :) She always blesses us in so many ways and to share this holiday with her was extra special! I thought this year I would do an Italian themed meal, since Nanni LOVES everything Italian. I also attempted to roast some lamb, in honor of Christ, which I have always wanted to do for Easter, but had yet to try it. Not being a big lamb fan in the past I decided to go safe and purchased a boneless leg from Trader Joes already marinating in a delicious Burgundy wine sauce with lots of herbs- It turned out fabulous! On the side we had roasted fingerling potatoes, grilled asparagus with pesto and white beans and pan fried polenta with parmesan and garlic marinara- YUM!
Weston also had a blast with his first Easter basket :)

9 months!

I can't believe another month has gone by already! Here are some recent pics of our happy healthy bouncing baby boy :) He keeps us entertained these days, babbling away and making attempts in the direction of crawling...
First ride in the swing and loving it!
Poor baby was sick here with a fever, but nothing like a celery stick and being outside to make one feel better
Easter treats from Omie arrived in the mail last week and Weston loves the little wind up jumping bunny! ( Daddy does too!)

Organic produce on my doorstep!

So after reading my friend Carly's blog, I was inspired! She had heard from a friend about this great service: an organic farm located near San Francisco created a service called Farm Fresh To You in which they work with other small local farms to bring fresh organic produce to consumers like me!
They have all sorts of options to choose from, but I chose the "small box" which includes fruits and veggies. It was $25 for a large amount of produce, all organic, and much more than we could eat in a week...a great deal if you ask me!! Plus it arrived at my doorstep. I didn't even have to change out of my jammies :) Look it up and I'm sure you'll be hooked too!
